Guided trip to Menorca Island (Spain)
 13 - 19 October 2019

Menorca is the most beautiful among the Baleari islands, the spanish archipelago positioned in the Mediterranean Sea,
halfway in between Sardinia and the Catalunya coast.
The island has been declared biosphere reserve by Unesco in 1993 and has always paid much attention to the valorization of his landscape heritage, protecting its coast by cementification and safeguarding its sandy beaches and posidonia seabed.
We paddled for the first time in Minorca in 2009, coming back almost every year since then

The island of Minorca can be circumnavigated in a week, since it's total costal lenght of 200 km.
We will decide wich way to circumnavigate (clockwise or counterclockwise) given the local meteo and sea condition.
The average daily distance will be between 20 and 30 Km, and we will count on the logistic support of Menorca en Kayak staff.

We should start from Es Grau, but another location could be decided on the ground of meteo and sea conditions.
The night stay are in nautical camping and, to be respectful of the environment, the group can't be too large.

It is advisable to bring your own personal gear for the nautical camping: you can rent tent and mattress on the site, but you still need to carry
your own sleeping bag, camping stove and tableware. Food and water can be purchased in Es Grau on the arrival day.

The guided tour is inclusive of deep focusing on navigation, planning a trip and elements of group leadership, besides many other curiosity.
This trip is meant only for skilled and intermediate paddler, who can paddle for at least 6 hours a day in a level 4 sea:
a previous experience of Sea Kayak Award (old three stars) or equivalent is requested,
and is strongly adviced to meet Tatiana and paddle with her for at least one day before starting the tour!

The Discovery trip cost is 630€ each person and it is inclusive of: guide, teaching, kayak and technical equipment rental
(paddle, life-jacket, spry-skirt, 2 watertight bag of 15 litres each by Minorca en kayak).
Cost are not including travel expenses to and from Minorca, the meals, the extra transferts and the nautical camping equipment.

Booking deadline is 10 of September 2019 with advance payment of 150€ for each person.
The trip will be activated on a minimum number of at least 4 entries.
